On Wednesday, officials released the name of the man shot dead this week on Interstate 94 in north Minneapolis.
Omarai Nasir Engle of Fridley was shot shortly after midnight on Tuesday and died at North Memorial Health, in Robbinsdale, less than an hour afterwards.
Police spokesman Adam Kennedy said that officers went to the intersection of Dowling Avenue & N. 6th Street, where they found Engle inside a car that had crashed in a garage.
Kennedy stated that the police provided medical assistance until paramedics arrived, and then took him to North Memorial.
No arrests were announced.
